Family at Huntington Central Park
I spent a fun afternoon at Huntington Central Park in Huntington Beach photographing this family. Mom wanted a lot of green and natural foliage in the images, and I think we delivered!
This was my second time shooting at this location, and I love the lake for portraits as there’s some real nice areas of trees and cattails for portraits.
We’ve already had their ordering appointment, and these are some of the images that will be going up on their walls. One of the family portraits will be replacing a 7+ year old family portrait over their fireplace, and the rest are going into a collage frame. I can’t wait to see the finished results in their home!

Brothers At the Park
This gorgeous family had just returned from a family vacation in Hawaii and went shopping for their portrait day clothes there (can you tell?)
They’re probably the only family I’ve ever seen pull off the “Hawaiian Shirt Look” and look great doing so!
(Next time, they just need to take me with them!)

Emilee at the Park

The Amazing Emilee returns for her seven year old milestone pictures…
I met up with Emilee & her mom recently to get them some updated photographs together.
As usual, Emilee was great to work with- playful and fun, willing to laugh… but also with those seven year old pre-pre-teen moments of public shyness, uncertainty, and self-consciousnesses… followed almost immediately by childish laughter and an attack of the giggles.
I snagged a few of my favorites to show here… so enjoy!

I met up with Jana and Joel for a park session recently, and we had a lot of fun playing and goofing around… and trying to get Joel to smile!
This determined little man wanted to anything except pause for pictures, and it wasn’t until we’d played on the playground a bit, snacked on Smarties doled out one at a time, and gotten very creative about climbing on picnic tables and playing ‘jump’ (nothing like breaking the rules to get great expressions!) that we had the shots Mommy wanted.
Jana was a posing princess and wanted to help her brother stay put, but he didn’t want any help and he certainly didn’t want to stay put. And yet, despite what may sound like a disaster… we have beautiful images for Mommy’s walls, and we really did have a good time at the park!
