Graduated!

Amber just graduated from UCLA, and her mom wanted to commemorate the occasion with photos.

It was time to replace the senior in high school portrait on the mantel with something new… so what could be more California than beach portraits to celebrate?!!!

At Home with Triplets

I recently visited the Robert home and met Anthony, Olivia, & Julia for their family portrait session.

It’d been ages since they had a professional family photo together, and so it was time to get casual’d up for portraits!

Oh, and Mom is thrilled that we took care of their portrait session over the summer… she’s already ordered her Christmas cards from me, and that’s one less thing to do once the holidays start!

Downtown Family

When Didi contacted me about getting a more urban look to her family portraits, I knew that Old Towne Orange was the place to go!

It has great textures from bricks, great colors, and an “Everywhere USA” feel to it, too.

Didi agreed, and we captured some great images that she loved – from the family posed against different walls and doorways, to the kids goofing off and having fun with sunglasses and hats…

Here’s a few of her favorites (and mine too- she has great taste!) – enjoy!

Beautiful at the Beach

These beautiful images are from my goddaughter’s session with me at the end of July.

She was so excited to wear the new dress we bought and she’s been begging to wear the mermaid outfit since I bought it last October.

I say “was” because the moment we arrived, everything changed. You’d have thought I dragged her to the doctor for shots and the dentist for a root canal all rolled into one.

She no longer wanted to do pictures… why? Because she “didn’t want to.”

This after planning outfits and the session, driving there, doing her hair, and getting everything ready…  So what to do?

I begged.

I pleaded.

I bribed.

I threatened.

She whined.

She pouted.

She sobbed.

She sulked.

And somehow, in the midst of frustration on both ends… we got these images.

There was giggles.

And laughter.

And dancing.

And fun.

Princess Sophia

Sophia is now five (where did the time go?) and she invited her favorite Disney Princess, Belle, to come to her Belle Birthday Party!

Now, if one is having a princess come to her birthday party, she needs to be dressed for the occasion. Mommy & Daddy gave Sophia her own Belle dress, with matching crown and shoes, as her very special birthday present. Sophia even got to have her hair done up with beautiful yellow flowers and glitter!

Sophia and her friends had a ton of fun! They played games with Belle, danced, got their faces painted and then had cake and ice cream.  What a great way to celebrate a milestone birthday!

Emilee at the Park

The Amazing Emilee returns for her seven year old milestone pictures…

I met up with Emilee & her mom recently to get them some updated photographs together.

As usual, Emilee was great to work with- playful and fun, willing to laugh… but also with those seven year old pre-pre-teen moments of public shyness, uncertainty, and self-consciousnesses… followed almost immediately by childish laughter and an attack of the giggles.

I snagged a few of my favorites to show here… so enjoy!

Sit, Stay, Good Dog!

I recently met up with Sona and her human for a portrait session at their home.

Sona is a gorgeous golden retriever with a sweet personality and a great doggy grin.

Sona was a great example of a fun dog… she was well behaved (though really didn’t understand why she couldn’t just flop with her rear end at the camera) and she gave us a fun range of expressions too!
