I met up this past weekend with Princess Jana, who had just turned 3, and her little brother Joel, who had just turned one, for their Birthday Club portraits.

Jana started off shy, and not really sure what portraits would be like… but within 10 minutes she was a bunch of giggles and the real smiles that Mommy loves.  Jana’s favorite Disney princess is Cinderella, she informed me, but the royal outfit she was wearing was an original creation made just for her by her “Mimi” and was the perfect outfit for this beautiful little girl.

I loved watching her pick up her skirts to walk about daintily, in perfect princess style, with her very California girl flip flops instead of glass slippers!

Joel watched Jana’s special portrait time, and then we all started paying attention to him… which was a little overwhelming for such a little guy!  Once he realized that I wasn’t the babysitter and Mommy wasn’t leaving him with me, he was willing to let Mommy go a few feet away from him… at least for a few minutes.

And he loved my fake sneezes.  They got him every time.

In fact, once we got him warmed up, he was all giggles… and a little ham, posing for the camera like a pro!
